Voter Roll Management

Following the November 2020 general election, nearly 50,000 registered voters were purged from the voter rolls in Dallas County. The graphic displays the number of purged voters by Texas State House Districts in Dallas County.

Hover over the map to view house district number and click on the district to see the name of the representative and the number of voters purged. This graphic is part of a working paper which examines the voter roll management and purge practices of county election boards in Texas.

Measures of Voter Turnout

The graphic the shows trends for population growth and voter participation in the United States from 2000 to 2020 broken out by racial and ethnic groups. This includes trend lines for the adult population, citizen age population, number of registered voters, and the number of ballots cast in general elections. This graphic is part of a working paper assessing the effect of institutions on voter turnout.
